The Thread of Contact
Imagine that you are one of the Adepts, a Spiritual Master, standing before the doorway of a much larger cosmic life. This world seems so small and but a dream. You are completely free to take your step into the future as a Master. You have the option, like Gautama Buddha at the time of his enlightenment, to step into a Nirvana of peace, joy, and the Presence of the Saints and Great Ones. Like Jesus the Christ and the Buddha, you determine instead to go into the cities to teach; no matter what the initiation or the outcome.
Like these great masters, you pause on the very threshold to eternity, and hear the heart cries of a struggling humanity in the shadowy world below. In that moment, you turn your attention to the millions behind you on the path and determine that you shall watch over them, guide them and help them up the steep path of spiritual evolution. This is the path of the Bodhisattva. This choice is made by all of the Masters Great White Brotherhood. This is the moment that the world mission of a Master is born.
These Brothers and Sisters of compassion, both Lords of Mind and Lords of Compassion, form the Great White Brotherhood and serve the evolution our planet earth and her peoples. Throughout long historical cycles of the rise and fall of civilizations, the Brotherhood cooperates with the great Logos in forwarding the spiritual evolution of nations, peoples and individuals. These Masters establish the "thread of contact" with embodied men and women who have proved themselves ready for an accelerated spiritual path.
The thread of contact from the Brotherhood to the people evolving on Earth can be traced from civilization to civilization. This thread has been called the "underground stream" and it is the foundation of the secret or mystical teachings of the world's spiritual paths. This underground stream is fed by all the tributaries of thought, spiritual teaching and practice that leads to Gnosis - our knowing and experience of the Divine.
This article is a tracing of the efforts of the Great White Brotherhood so that we can understand their mission. We can prepare ourselves to enter in to the great world service. We too can be our brother's keeper.
One way to look at the efforts of the Brotherhood towards spiritual evolution and the freedom of the individual, as well as nations and mankind, is to see each effort as an ocean wave. Each wave brings the "water of enlightenment" further inward on the shore. The wave recedes, leaving its traces and effects and then a new one takes its place. Each one goes farther up the shore as the tide comes in. This tide of spiritual enlightenment is ongoing and works together for the good.
This is the story of the thread of contact between the spiritually advanced Brotherhood of Light and mankind. God always respects mankind's free will, yet allows His advanced Sons and Daughters, as Guardian Spirits to teach, guide and support our growth. What follows is a "spiritual storybook" that will prove fascinating to many, and perhaps hard to believe. However, this story is well documented in the annals of the Brotherhood and the secret teachings of many religions. Explore and meditate upon this information and judge for yourself. Ancient Planetary History

Each planet has life waves assigned to it. They are born and fulfill their evolution and move forward. The first three "root races" came to Earth, learned their life lessons and moved on to their next stage of evolution. They fulfilled their divine plans in a time of Paradise. Earth was a Garden of Eden. Legend and teachings say that all of the first three root races ascended back to heaven.
These evolutions may not have been in dense physical bodies such as our own. The circumstances leading to a denser planet and denser bodies are part of our story.
During the time of the Fourth Root Race our paradise on Earth was put into jeopardy. The fourth root race faced unusual spiritual situations and they became trapped on Earth. Because the fourth root race was falling behind in spiritual evolution, its vibratory rate was such that the planet was allowed to not only serve as a school room for her own root race, but also for the "orphans" of another ruined world, called Maldek. This planet was self-destroyed by her own inhabitants and it is now the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Those souls that still had light and spiritual opportunity, who yearned to evolve, were allowed to come to Earth’s schoolroom. Earths's evolutions were compassionate to receive these orphans.
These laggard souls and the people of earth together struggled to evolve as the "Great Rebellion" wrote about in the Bible occurred. This Cosmic Rebellion continued in many systems of worlds. The karma of the evolutions of planet earth made them susceptible to the vibrations of this much larger cosmic drama.
Known to history as the Fall of Lucifer or the Great Rebellion, this was the time when Beings of Great Light and attainment, Archangels as well as their obedient followers, revolted from the law of the Father Mother God and lost their first spiritual estate. They were cast down into the material universe by their fellow Archangels and were bound into the physical octave. They came down "having great wrath" at God, for the spiritual Hierarchy, for God's plan of spiritual evolution and for the "mortals" evolving in the matter sphere.
These fallen angels came to our world and corrupted the rulers and priesthood of the fourth root race. They affected entire systems of worlds by their false philosophy and a culture designed to keep the evolving lightbearers trapped in duality and mortality. These fallen beings took the "footstool kingdom" by storm and continued to manipulate, coerce, seduce and use aggression upon the younger spiritual evolutions here. They truly became the "princes of this world" as Jesus referred to them.
The Fourth Root Race souls on Earth fell in consciousness and fell behind in their development. This situation created vulnerability in Earth's evolutions in that their lowered vibration therefore allowed others of similar vibration to incarnate.
The Great White Brotherhood continued to send their emissaries into embodiment to teach and guide and win the lightbearers to the spiritual path. Many long cycles came and went with this battle ongoing in this system of worlds.
As earth fell to the lowest possible vibration, she came in danger of losing her opportunity as a spiritual platform altogether. She became known as the Dark Star. Cosmic law demanded that some upon Planet Earth have the capacity to radiate Light, be capable of pursuing the spiritual path, the guru-chela relationship and to be capable of gaining the attainment of the Ascension. No one on earth could hold that level of spiritual light, and therefore earth was about to be lost.
At this point, a cosmic rescue mission was allowed to come to Earth. This mission changed the face of the Earth and the outcome of the Great Rebellion forever. This is the story of the Nameless One and His miraculous dispensation to Terra - the coming of Sanat Kumara and the 144,000 souls of light who came to Earth with Him.
This history is the story of these spiritual strivers and teachers who changed the Earth and its culture for the better. These heroes and heroines brought spiritual freedom and a path of self-mastery back to Earth’s evolutions. These "elder brothers and sisters" selflessly brought us the spiritual light, contact with heaven, and loved us back into being.
