Atlantis: the Lost Island Continent of the Atlantic

250,000 to 12,000 BC

As the cycles of Lemuria ended, so began the rise of the eastern civilization of Atlantis, the island continent in the Atlantic. Plato wrote of Atlantis and most of the world's ancient civilizations record the wonders and culture of Atlantis in their myths.

The Atlantean civilization lasted for tens of thousands of years. Fragments of the Atlantean life have been handed down to us through legends, myths and books such as Phylos: Dweller on Two Planets, which describes the religion of Incal and the wondrous Maxin Light. The Maxin Light was an imperishable unfed flame, a ray of spiritual light from the world above that served to remind the Atlanteans of their divine origin.

The Last Days of Atlantis by Nicholas Roerich

The evolutions of planet earth began to receive the fifth root race during this time. Atlantis, Queen of the Waves as she was known, was rich in heritage, technology and an understanding of the secrets of nature. There were "golden ages" on Atlantis in which the majority of her people attained their Christhood.

As legend has it, as in the days of the first root races, people again began to make their Ascensions back into heaven. During one of these Golden Ages however, some of the people actually tired of the disciplines of spiritual attainment and voted to have a lesser individual than a Christed One be elected as Emperor of Atlantis. The True Emperor took his leave with thousands of like-minded souls and left for ancient India in a massive emigration. The ones that were left behind on Atlantis to pursue their lesser paths had to reincarnate later in history as the twelve tribes of Israel and were slaves in Egypt until their karma had played itself out. Karma and reincarnation explain much of the mystery of Earth's peoples.

The Atlantean people rose to an extremely high level of consciousness, however, they again lost their way through egotism and selfishness. Once Atlantis came to an end, these secrets would remain unknown to the many of mankind until our own time. The downfall of Atlantis, after centuries of warning, came in a cataclysmic flood whose story is handed down through many cultures and mythologies.

The Contact Continues By A Thread

The legends of the Brotherhood tell us that as Atlantis sank many enlightened souls who had been tutored by the Brotherhood safely left saving parts of that great culture. Some Atlantean adepts actually carried the physical sacred flames from the altars of Atlantis to safer areas. Some went southwest to current day South America. They brought with them their religion and the name of God, Incal, (See Phylos the Thibetan) and architecture.

Other adepts such as the Masters Serapis Bey and Hilarion carried the flames of God, representing different spiritual qualities, to distant lands. Serapis tells the story of making it to the shores of Egypt just as the final Atlantean tsunami waves reached their small vessel. He planted the flame in Luxor where there has been an etheric retreat dedicated to the Ascension ever since.

One other man was concerned with the physical well being of man. He corralled many animals (but not all) that would be needed for man's future and whose collective group soul needed saving for karmic reasons. His name was Noah, the great, great grandson of the Messenger Enoch and himself a prophet for the Great White Brotherhood. A few others managed to create outposts for the Brotherhood. But for the most part, the tie to the sacred teachings of the Brotherhood had been lost. Just like on Lemuria 250,000 years ago.

In the antediluvian world, there seems to be two principal places on earth that continued to try and maintain the highest contact with God, these were Egypt and India. That aspect of God best represented by the Feminine or Mother principle was still known in India. Its antecedents were rooted in Lemuria.

Next, Ancient India.
